AskRue™

The identity doorway · an experiment

AskRue™ is the door.

Your account is the key that lets you enter the supported RUEZALS services. The rooms behind that door are RUEZALS Chat. The translator is Dhraconyx.

01 / IDENTITY

A name that stays yours.

Your permanent username identifies your account. Your display name is how people see you in the house.

02 / ENTRY

A code you carry.

After activating an authenticator, sign in with your password and its current six-digit code, or an unused backup code.

03 / THE HOUSE

Know which door you’re opening.

AskRue handles identity. RUEZALS Chat is the gathering place. Dhraconyx is the Windows game translator.

Dhraconyx World · the lore

The door into the Ethier.

The house is imagined as a place you can enter: rooms, gardens, presence, and company in the Ethier. AskRue marks the doorway. Its triangle and moving patterns belong to that story; the personal setup QR is a separate key created for your account.

Dhraconyx World is the realm and mythos around these creations. RUEZALS is the house that builds them.

First-time setup

Give your account an authenticator.

TOTP means time-based one-time password. An authenticator uses your private setup key and the time to generate a short-lived code. The code normally changes every 30 seconds.

  1. Get an authenticator app.

Use a compatible time-based authenticator on your phone. Follow the official Google Authenticator instructions or Microsoft Authenticator instructions.

  2. Open the house sign-in page.

Use your username and password, then choose Next. If you need an account, choose Register there.

    Register
  3. Choose Show setup QR.

For first-time setup, open the triangle mark or Show setup QR after the password step. Only use the personal setup plate shown by the house sign-in page.

  4. Add AskRue in the authenticator.

Choose Add account, then Scan QR. If scanning is difficult, enter the manual setup key shown on the page and choose a time-based account. The logo on this guide is a brand mark, not a setup QR.

  5. Enter the current six-digit code.

Return to the code field and choose Enter. A valid first code activates the authenticator. Leaving the code blank can sign you in while setup is pending, but does not activate it.

  6. Save your backup codes privately.

They are shown when activation completes. Keep them somewhere you can reach if your phone is lost. Each backup code works once. Never put them in chat or a support ticket.

Already set up?

Password → Next → current authenticator code → Enter. A code that has already been accepted cannot be used again; wait for the next code.

To view an activated setup QR, first enter a current authenticator or unused backup code, then choose Show setup QR. Viewing it consumes that code; wait for a new one before signing in.

New phone or a lost key?

Use your authenticator’s official transfer instructions while you still have the old phone. To replace an activated factor, prove access with its code or a backup code and disable it in account security before starting a new setup.

No phone and no backups? Contact the house desk with your username and account email. Do not send a password, code, key, or QR.

The phone direction

A key that can answer.

The planned AskRue phone companion is intended to show a computer’s entry request and let you choose Allow or Deny. That is the experiment’s direction: an identity doorway you can carry.

The planned phones and companion remain future work. No hardware release date or public phone-app download is announced here. The setup guide above uses authenticator apps available today.

If a code does not match.

Check that your phone’s date and time are automatic and that you selected the AskRue account. Use the newly displayed code; repeated incorrect entries can lock the account temporarily. Choose the gate’s unlock/reset option if offered, or contact the house desk.

Use Forgot password? on the password step to start password recovery. Never scan a setup QR received through chat or a direct message.

Code format: RFC 6238. Keep your personal setup key private.
